Marie Antoinette Led to the Guillotine

Marie Antoinette was executed by guillotine on October 16, 1793. Her hair shorn and her hands tied around her back, she was led to the guillotine in an open cart. She was shouted and jeered at by the Paris mob, but despite this, she kept her composure. She went out with the dignity of a queen.
